Art
Elke loves to observe flowers, patterns in nature and to explore abstract realms she encounters in dreams and visions. She believes in Jesus Christ and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit she has experienced in her life convinces her that there is much more that God wants to release through art and other forms of creativity. Painting is for her an exploration of ways to tap into the pool of glory diamonds in heaven to download them to earth.
As a member of the Constantiaberg Art Society she participates regularly art exhibitions at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town.
She worked as a graphic designer in advertising agencies and as a 3D animation generalist in a film & media production company in Germany. She also started lecturing animation courses at the Hochschule Mannheim.
In 2005 she moved to Cape Town where she continued working
and lecturing in the field of animation and graphic design at different schools and colleges in Cape Town ( SAE Institute, CityVarsity, Touchvision Learn2, Pearson Institute , VegaSchool, Modena Media & Entertainment).
As a certified Autodesk Instructor she offers software training on request for the 3D animation software Maya.
Education
Elke was born and raised in Mosbach (Baden-Wuerttemberg) in Germany.
She studied fine art education at the Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg for two years and communication design at the Hochschule Mannheim for four years (BTech in the field of graphic design).
During these years she enjoyed being exposed to both, the traditional art techniques and the new emerging digital technologies.
